85% of the students in my band program are on free and reduced lunches. 65% of the students in the band program use school supplied instruments. 22% of the students in the band program use an older instrument given to them by a relative. The Q30 Standard Repair Kit will give me the tools and supplies not only to keep the school inventory of instruments in working order. But, it will allow me to fix the personally owned instruments of the other students. In addition to the schools low socioeconomic status our school district is in a very rural area and it is difficult to get instruments into the repair shop. Not to mention that most students cannot afford to pay for the repairs. By having the Q30 Standard Repair Kit I will be able to make necessary repairs that will keep the instruments in working order.
