Elementary students are squirrely on their own. When you throw ADD, ADHD, and other disabilities into the mix, the result is s student who is borderline restless. I teach Special Education and see the firsthand account of this in my classroom every day.
Additional seating options will grant my students more agency in their education, as well as help them channel their energy into productive academic work. My students are more at ease and productive when given options that make them feel in control. These seating options would do both: make them feel in control, and allow movement without distracting themselves or others.
