An iPad would be a valuable add-on to our classroom by serving our large class size in numerous ways, stimulating and increasing learning, and helping me to be much more productive as a teacher. For starters, the accessibility to its numerous apps will allow me to instruct easier from anywhere in the room while having access to an apple TV that I haven’t been able to get any use out of. It will make transitions and communication so much clearer, in return increasing the amount of instructional time.
The use of an iPad in our classroom will help keep students accountable for their work and increase their productivity and work quality, and will push them to be more responsible over their own learning. Students learn best from and with each other. With the iPad's convenient video and photo apps I will be able to move around the room, projecting actual student work in the moment and giving immediate feedback on their learning. Examples and previous lessons will be easily accessible without wasting time looking for them in our notebooks and in between stacks of paper. Actual images and videos of students doing work will be a touch away. In addition to helping the students this will help me better prepare for lessons in a time where technology has become more relevant, which will result in increased learning. All of this will also help foster communication and collaboration with parents and guardians to ensure a successful school year for their child.
Please help me better serve my students by increasing efficiency and learning in an incredibly deserving community.
