My students have a variety of learning difficulties, from dyslexia to cognitive impairments, by allowing my students to use multi-sensory materials they are not just having fun while learning but developing multiple pathways for optimum retention. The hands on dominoes, allows the kids to figure out what goes together; through touching , seeing and working with friends.
The rhyming house sort gives the children a chance to make connections that rhymes belong together an essential part of phonemic awareness. My students love to be an integral part of the learning process, the wipe on and off Bingo gives them an opportunity to learn sounds and letters while writing.
By donating to this project, you will be helping students in many different areas in which they struggle. By obtaining these materials for my classroom I will be able to reach different learning styles in a way that keeps the students engaged and motivated.
