As our school is in a very high poverty area, we don't have as much money as a school district as I would like. I'm trying to introduce many different genres to my students so they can connect their world to the world of literature and we simply do not have the resources to do so. With this printer, I would be able to print things that I find online that will help connect some dots for my students and enable to them to get their fingers on richer text than what we have available to them now. As a writing teacher as well, we will be able to type our research papers and print them out to share with each other so they can help each other by peer editing and being proud of their finished products.
