I work with diverse adolescent students in the middle school setting. My students demonstrate great perseverance with learning new and challenging math lessons daily.
It is a privilege to inspire students' personal interests and growth.
Many of my students fall into the category of low-income/high poverty, who face daunting challenges every day in their lives, yet show up to school to better themselves. My students have individualized education plans to meet their specific learning needs. The needs range from having a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, certification of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities and Social/Emotional needs. I strive to provide a learning community that is welcoming, warm and flexible, whereby my students feel like they can take academic risks and are fully engaged with their learning.
