We are trying to bring great literature in the hands of our students. This year we have been introducing literature that is rich in vocabulary and comprehension. We are hoping to purchase the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for all 92 of our kids so that we can work on our litrary skills with the book.
By donating we will be able to purchase the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets so that the kids can continue working on their comprehension skills by summarizing relationships between characters, working on building their vocabulary skills and fluency through reading a book rich in literary components.
Our students have shown great growth in their uderstanding of literature components with the previous texts we have used. We are hoping to continue this for the remainder of the year by reading a book with high interest and a solid foundation.
By supporting our 5th graders you are bringing the love of reading to each and every child. You are helping them reach their individual goals in literacy and writing this year.
