I chose flexible seating because it allows students to move and have a sensory experience which helps them focus on learning. Many of my students are finding the traditional classroom difficult to adapt to after learning from home. Some of my students have never had a full year of in-person schooling. Despite their excitement to be back they are all struggling to sit and focus. Allowing my students the choice of seating gives them the opportunity to meet their own sensory needs. In addition, a varied work environment will also help with engagement and focus.
