This rug will give my students a chance to do their learning centers on a soft clean carpet, instead of working on the linoleum floor or at their desk. They will have a clean and warm place to sit and this will make them more comfortable than sitting at their desk or on the direct floor. Getting up out of their desk and moving around helps stop the wiggles too. Second graders need choices on where to do their work, instead of sitting at a desk. They love learning through engaging learning centers and a comfy colorful place to work will be an ideal solution for them. Comfort makes learning easier and learning centers are so much more engaging than doing a worksheet in math.
