My students are from a very diverse population, 39.7% Hispanic, 16.4% African American, 15.6% Asian, 13.1% White, 8.7% Filipino, 1.4% Pacific Islander and 0.4% American Indians. 25% of my students are at varying levels of English proficiency and are classified as English Learners.
While this diversity enriches my students' learning experience, it also presents challenges as I strive to seek the most effective means to teach all students to high levels of performance. The school my students are attending is in a Title I Program Improvement school district. A good percentage of my students do not have access to a computer at home.
