I love to dress up as characters to help history come alive for my students. We are finishing up our study of the history of modern China by looking at issues of interest in China today.
Yao Ming's perspective and journey in the NBA will be a useful case study for students. Discussion of his path will provide a springboard into other topics such as censorship, race-relations, business, media, human rights, the environment, etc. The students will then do an end of the year project on one of these topics of interest.
