Sustain the positive behavior intervention supports that recognize and acknowledge students for displaying school appropriate behaviors.
These incentives allow students to spend more time in the classroom and less time experiencing punitive measures. When attendance is made to be more of a priority, children get better grades, develop healthy life habits, avoid dangerous behavior and have a better opportunity for e graduation and beyond.
As a predominate number of students come from low-income households, the incentive of food items has been shown to historically yield an improvement in behavior. By using our "ticket" monetary system, students can "cash" in an individual "ticket" for a food or hydration item. Tickets may also be compiled and redeemed, when the student reaches 10, for other larger items.
