My students will use these materials to become more independent. I believe it is very important to set up my students for success as they move onto higher grades. Being able to speak in front of their classmates or perform basic functions like tying their shoes, zipping up their jacket, and buckling buckles will boost their confidence. I plan on putting these boards at the front of the classroom and allowing the students to use them as a center. If they master a skill on the board I plan on letting them choose a prize from my treasure box as well as displaying their name on the bulletin board in my class. This will motivate them to learn as well as make them proud that they did it. As for the microphone I plan on using it to teach as well as letting my students use the microphone to respond to questions. I feel that this will not only boost their confidence but make it easier for everyone to understand.
