Currently, we have one set of working headphones in our classroom. With all of the innovative games out there for kids to use to practice skills such as math facts, kids like to work on the iPads. However, with only one set of headphones to go around it becomes very distracting to be practicing your facts when your neighbor is doing another game or working on something different. If each child had their own set, I feel that we would be able to accomplish more with fewer distractions. Kids also use the iPads for taking math tests and reading tests. Headphones would increase the students' ability to concentrate on these tests.
