We are transforming our library by adding a STEM makerspace to the learning commons. Makerspace is an area that allows students to be creative in their thinking, creating, building, and exploring. We do have 3 iPads that were donated, but they are very outdated and cannot download the new programs needed. The possiblities are endless on how we could utilize new, updated iPads. Literacy interaction with the Ozmo kits, robotics with our Dash robot, coding with the Code and Go Mouse, and virtual tours with QR codes are just a few. It is vital that we have the proper tools to prepare our students for their future. The library is the largest classroom in the school, and students thrive when presented with the opportunity use critical thinking skills to create and explore.
