Support Mrs. Jackson's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students come from various backgrounds and many are learning English as a second language. Many of my students come from low income households and this year 50% of my students in Third grade are reading at a Kindergarten level so most of my school day is spent in small groups trying to bring everyone's skills up to grade level while giving grade level instruction and enrichment to those students that are ready to move to the next level. Your support to this diverse classroom of learners will help me provide a learning environment where EVERY child succeeds and learns. My goal for students who come in behind is to gain 1.5 years of skills in just one school year. If they do this, most of my students who come in behind their peers will be able to close the gap when they are in 4th grade. Being able to read fluently is a strong indicator of future success in school and in life. Thank you for your help.
