My students need a variety of hands-on activities to learn to read and strengthen their sight word fluency. Students will be able to use the Osmos to reinforce phonetic patterns sight words and word families. "Tower of Sight Words" and "Word on the Street" will provide additional practice to become successful readers. This will also help keep them engaged and motivated while strengthening their literacy skills.
As emergent readers, they are provided with multiple opportunities to practice targeted reading skills.
These activities will allow students to interact with one another and promote cooperative learning in my room. As an ESL teacher, I know hands-on activities provide opportunities for students to practice difficult concepts and to see that learning is fun!
