Students will use the listening center in our classroom during small groups. Kindergarten students will be able to listen to the stories and use a story map to retell the stories. Students will also learn how to listen and follow along (by turning pages and reading from left to right, page to page on their own) during independent reading time. Since the pandemic, we are trying to come up with new and exciting ways to make reading fun. Students in my classroom would really benefit from having a listening center in our classroom.
