Our 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in a STEM club that will extend their opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The children in our STEM club are enthusiastic about spending time outside the regular school day to participate in amazing experiments and see the fantastic results of applying their knowledge and energy. They will build nebulae, chart constellations, learn about crystallization, conduct chemistry and physics experiments, and participate in Nerf Gun math wars! I am requesting some resources and supplies for our STEM club including borax, pipe cleaners, measuring cups and bowls and Dawn washing liquid. Our new mixing bowls and measuring tools will allow students to mix up concoctions and study the effect of chemical reactions and work like a real chemist using our protective gloves. Pipe cleaners will serve as the growth base for our crystals, and we will use borax, cornstarch, and potassium iodide to create chemical reactions.
We want to make our school a community-focused building that reaches kids beyond the school bell. Help us forge this pathway to adventures in learning.
