My students love to read if they have the right book. I would love to offer them many options of books in our very own classroom that challenge them to grow as readers as well as help them realize how fun and exciting reading is. Some of my students don't have access to books other than at school
Reading helps students to grow in many more ways than just academics.
My students have goals that are focused on social skills, academics, and emotionally regulating themselves. Reading books as a class or having the students read aloud is such a great way to practice these skills all at once.
