Providing flexible seating options will keep students more engaged throughout class. Not only will it allow them to move in a non-distracting way, but it will focus their brain on the learning at hand. This project also allows my students to choose the seat that they want as well as how they will practice self control in it. Having yoga balls, wobbly chairs and wiggle cushions will truly change our classroom community and make them feel like their energy and movement is a positive addition to our space!
