Sitting still when you are six years old is challenging. Imagine having to sit in cold, hard, metal chairs. The paint is chipping and some chairs are beginning to rust. The gun metal gray is drab and dull. My students sit in these chairs most of the day, every day! Frequently students complain that they are uncomfortable or sore. These chairs are heavy and difficult to move.
Having more comfortable chairs to sit in will help my students focus more on their work and less on their aching backs! Lighter chairs will be easier to move around, making their space more flexible. A happy, fresh color will help create a more inviting place to learn.
