Once a week our Kindergartens participate in weekly Nature Exploration. Children and teachers journey into the woods behind the school to engage in hands-on learning. Children have the opportunity to take developmentally appropriate risks, interact with nature, and embrace their imagination through free play.
The Maine woods ignite children's natural curiosity!
While in the woods children are immersed in their learning and appreciation for the great outdoors- climbing trees, building forts, hunting for animal tracks, exploring streams and much more. Winter in Maine is now in full effect and we are in need of warm, waterproof mittens to help keep children's hands warm and dry during our weekly Nature Exploration.
