My 6th grade math class uses the materials requested to make math more visual. They will be able to show various representations of skills they are learning.
The student's will be able to show their understanding of what is being taught with the use of graph paper, colored pencils, and dry erase markers. The students can create models of multiplying fractions, perfect squares, fractions, circle graphs, and the list could go on and on with math.
The more the students can visualize and model what they are learning, the more likely they are to remember the skill at the end of the year, and years to come. Dry erase markers will allow a more students to answer at once, and show their understanding quickly as we review skills previously learned, and new ones to come.
I hope with your help I can receive the materials requested so my students can continue to grow as math students and incorporate many models in their learning.
Thanks!
