Students will use the selected text to begin to unpack the complicated history of mining in Colorado. The Life of a Miner, Mining, Coal, Ouary and other informational texts will provide the necessary background knowledge to jump start our exploration. We will then delve deeply into exploring the issues of equity and social justice that resulted in the Ludlow Massacre of 1914. Student's will conclude there study by conducting a debate to discuss who did the right thing during this contentious time in state and national history. I hope that you are able to support this important work and help bring our studies to life!

About my class

Students will use the selected text to begin to unpack the complicated history of mining in Colorado.
