My students have been doing an amazing job with their math skills this year. I've been amazed at their dedication and resiliency while learning new and difficult concepts, especially since we are lacking some of the resources that would help them be successful.
My school doesn't have enough individual clocks for each student to learn time. It's extremely hard to teach time with only one clock to pass around to all of the students. It is such an important life skill, and once they learn how to tell time, it really cuts down on the teacher being asked what time lunch is every half hour!
I have also leveled my class into different math needs. I rotate through these groups daily to ensure they are making progress and that their individual needs are being met. I need more games and activities for these groups. These new games will capture their interest and keep them focused, which will all me to work with my small groups.
