My English learners are not often excited to read. However, reading is key to increasing their vocabulary and improving their English skills. Their biggest complaints are that books are boring, or all good books are checked out of the library.
I asked my students to make a dream list of books that they would be excited to read to create a library for our classroom. I have also included a shelf to store and display books to give the students easy access. I am hoping that having their dream library available will spark an interest in reading that continue to burn throughout their lives.
