I teach high school special education algebra to a diverse group of students. I have students of all races and all learning modalities, which is why the laptop to facilitate creating Smartboard lessons will be an asset to my classroom. The students in my classroom learn at all different levels and it is my job to meet each of their needs.
Our school is in California and we are working very hard to use technology to engage students and improve test scores. We are a small district with one comprehensive high school and do not have access to a variety of programs and electives that bigger districts can offer. My goal is to bring the world to them through technology. Many families in our district don't have computers in their homes. My vision is to integrate multisensory lessons by teaching real life transition skills and mathematic and to ponder post secondary options. Most important, having all our students pass the CAHSEE using Smart lesson the bring leaning alive.
