We will use the spin bin composter to create compost using recyclable materials found in our school. The compost will be used in our garden and for grade specific instruction on its value to the garden and the process of making it.
The lunchroom will be used to collect orange peels, banana peels and compost compatible foods of all sorts. The teacher's lounge will be the hub for collecting coffee grounds. Our teachers will shred paper and compost it too.
Our school will sell what is produced in our garden at farmers markets. Each grade level will contribute in every aspect of the garden from planting, harvesting, selling, advertising and cooking with a nutritionist chef.
