The books we have chosen as a team will enable us to provide more opportunities for our students to practice their comprehension skills. Our book choices are of high interest for third grade students. One is a comical mystery about a dog detective and chickens with fun personalities, and the other is a magical dragon epic that talks about family, friends, perseverance, and forgiveness. Both novels will offer enjoyable discussions with our classes that encourage talking about some important subjects as well as a bit of fun for our excited readers.
These two new novels will promote deeper comprehension and cultural understanding among our diverse students. With these two new choices, our classes will be able to discuss both funny and important topics respecting everyones point of view. Our english language learners will be able to join in a safe, friendly conversation without judgement. Best of all, our students will be excited by and enchanted with both of these fun novels.
