Students learn best by doing. I am asking for fractions manipulatives for my students so they can have hands-on learning activities. The students will be able to construct problems using fractions with comparing fractions, identifying equivalents, and practice other fractions skills. Different versions of fraction manipulatives will also, give students a different representation of what fractions look like. I am also asking for 3D geometric shapes and blocks to help students understand the concepts of surface area, perimeter and volume of various shapes including prisms, pyramids, and cubes. With these 3D geometric shapes, my students will have another grasp of understanding how fractions work.
