The use of a teaching easel would help support and enhance daily activities in our classroom, especially during large group time and story time.
The new teaching easel would give us access to a whiteboard that is low to the ground where each child would be able to view it with ease. We would be able to use the whiteboard to record our answers for the question of the day along with displaying poems or short songs that focus on our current unit of study. We would also be able to utilize the magnetic capabilities of the board by using magnetic letters, numbers and pictures to further advance our skills in number and letter recognition along with strengthening vocabulary and literacy skills.
The easel also has the capability of holding a pocket chart that would allows students to participate in hands-on activities during large group by sort pictures into different categories or interacting with visual materials during a book reading.
Finally, the easel also has the ability to serve has a book stand for big books that are always great to use with young learners as they are excellent literacy tools with their large pictures and words.
