These materials will be used for multiple purposes from explaining the phases of the moon, with the "light-up moon", to exploring what owls eat with the "owl pellets." Almost all of my students are kinesthetic learners and these resources will allow me to be able to tap into that learning style to gain more comprehension.
Students are more willing to learn if it is fun and active. By using resources such as the molecular model kit, students will be able to actively learn how atoms and molecules look and how they are bonded together. This will also allow me to facilitate learning instead of just giving the answers. Another facilitated lesson that can come from these resources is engineering and measuring practice with the blocks. Students will use the blocks to assemble buildings and measure them using rulers and possibly scales.
Finally, the students have better classroom experiences when the room is welcoming. The magnets and gyroscope, along with student work, will serve two purposes: making a welcoming science class as well as showing the students he magnetism and gravity work during those lessons. With these resources, I will be able to give the students a fun, safe, and pleasing science experience which will, in turn, increase learning.
