I believe that the first step to becoming a successful teacher is by creating a learning environment that students feel safe and ready to learn in. This past year and a half, I have been toying around with flexible seating. So far, the students have loved the arrangements and this has only motivated me even more to add to the project.
When creating lessons, I like to include activities that require students to get up and moving. However, there are times when working at our desks is a must. Many of my students have high energy levels and are able to focus best when their bodies are moving at the same pace as their brains. In this project, I have included wobble chairs that will enable them to move and learn at the same time. I truly need the support to make this a possibility. My students and I thank you!
