Each day my students walk in with ready minds but restless bodies. They find it difficult to sit, follow directions and stay engaged. I want to be able to give them materials to use inside and outside, helping them strengthen their large muscles.
Using these gross motor materials will help them gain coordination, balance and most of all, confidence.
The balance board, stepping stones and stilts will be used for proproceptive awareness, helping them to know where their body is and what they are doing.
The tunnel and scooters will improve their core strength, giving them more confidence in how they are able to move.
