Students will be designing working autonomous ROV ("Rovers") to compete in various spaced themed challenges. This exploration will prepare them for future careers in mechanical, electrical and software engineering as well and introduce concepts around artificial intelligence, robotics and future exploration of Mars and beyond.
The Arduino kits will supplement our robots by giving students a platform to design and construct subsystem to execute specific tasks, like soil sample retrieval, rover rescue and repair and autonomous navigation.
In addition to building subsystems for rovers, these kits will give access to students for additional computer science based projects in other subjects and provide foundational skills for students in engineering, computer science and cyber security.
