The most critical resources we need for our project are well-built, gaming computers. The creation of an eSports lab means we need the hardware to run and handle to the load of different competitive games. The HP Gaming Desktop would be perfect for starting and continuing our efforts to establish this computer lab. The purpose for these computers is to help students who want to get involved in the competitive gaming community but cannot afford a gaming computer to play on. This donation is more than just giving these students computers; it is giving the next generation better opportunities for the future. Many of the games being played in the competitive arenas are being played on computers; however, most students own a console platform that restricts them from joining a league. Owning computers and having them on hand will open the door for more students to join and compete. Specific games that we could run on the gaming machines include League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, and many more. eSports is more than just playing video games. Students can be awarded scholarship money for college, or they can be recruited to join a gaming team. Any student who plays these competitive games will use 21st century skills such as leadership, communication, collaboration, flexibility, creatively, media and technology literacy. Overall, eSports in sweeping the nation and bringing about positive change in students!
