We live in a rural area where two-thirds of my students receive free or reduced lunch. They love the otherwise unattainable opportunity to get free piano lessons during music classes. However, many of our 18-year-old headphones have only one side working. They also squeeze or poke the children’s heads.
When using our current headphones, students have to take their headbands or glasses off to avoid a painful piano experience. Some students just pull the headphones down around their necks and try to listen to their playing above the bustle of the classroom. I would like for donors to choose this project so that I can present new headphones to them as soon as possible.
