These items will help me to get started in my classroom and provide resources for students to start the year ready to learn. As a low-income/high poverty middle school, teachers are not provided with enough supplies to ensure that all students have what they need.
Pencils and notebooks may seem like a simple thing, but to a teacher, they are some of the most important learning tools. My students will be able to take charge of their own learning with simple things such as post-its, index cards, colored pencils, and erasers.
