In a classroom setting all teachers and staff strive to provide a comfortable, educational, and safe environment for the students. As a school social worker, I constantly try to incorporate many different cultures, ethnicity, races, etc. into the everyday setting to allow students to feel that personal connection to their school setting. I learn about my students and take their individual interests and passions into consideration when teaching skills, lessons, etc. Having a carpet such as the one chosen, it would really allow students to be able to share their own stories as well as learn about other parts of the world! This carpet would provide us with a fun, family-like area where we could join together and learn in a much more comfortable manner. It would also provide 'talk-topics' as we learn about other places, cultures, and people!
