Social-emotional learning will be enhanced with the addition of the books listed in this project. My students learn so much through biblio-therapy. These wonderful books will enrich the learning of many social skills and character traits needed for the future success of my students.
Many of my students have experienced some sort of traumatic event in their young lives. My project would add items to our counseling center to help those suffering with anxiety, panic attacks, and stress. Additionally, self-regulation skills will be strengthened through the use of these items as well as the addition of play therapy dolls for a more diverse set. My students will benefit is so many ways from the completion of this project.
