By donating to this project, my students will each receive a stethoscope that will enable them to learn at home how to measure heart and respiratory rates. They will also learn how to distinguish between normal and abnormal lung sounds. A simple tool such as a stethoscope will ignite a passion for learning. Listening to the sounds of the heart and lungs with a stethoscope will increase my students' curiosities and areas of higher learnings. In addition, they will develop compassion for people who have abnormalities in their heart and lungs.
