Having access to an iPad will allow my students access to technology outside of the classroom to improve their language and articulations skills through. They will have access to language and strategies games, recipes and youtube videos at their finger tip to recreate delicious, but simple dishes.
Establishing moments to improve language is essential and cooking is a great way to do just that. The kitchen essential will help with providing the tools needed to make edible treats in the classroom.
The task of cooking is full of language thought the exchanges need to request specific ingredients and untensils, vocabulary building with the use of terminology, and pragmatic language with interacting appropriately with peers.
The camera and photo printer will award me the opportunity to captures functional therapy lessons to generalized communication skills across educational settings through our cooking lessons by providing each student with a picture recipes book. The printer will be used to print boarders and word art for the recipe books.
Communicating with food is an experience I enjoy sharing with my students and they enjoy every bite of these exciting moments!
