My students LOVE to collaborate, move around, and work where they are comfortable. They will have their home base and then, during independent work time, they are free to move around and choose a positive place to work. With the futon, coffee table, cocktail table, bar stools, and other materials, my 6th graders can feel comfortable and engaged, while still having age appropriate expectations. My goal is to provide my kids with autonomy and structure, while keeping them engaged and accountable for their learning. This classroom will be a sanctuary for them, and resemble the places where they may go on to eventually work. Thank you for your support of this project!

About my class
