Computers that students can check out will make a big difference in their ability to complete assignments. Many of my students do not have computers at home. Our math is centered around a computer-based program, and if students do not finish their assignment in class, they often do not have the means necessary to finish assignments in a timely manner.
I teach accelerated math, and it is vital that students are up-to-date with their assignments. We move at a very fast pace, and it is easy to get behind without putting in effort outside the classroom. These computers would give students the resource they need to stay current.
