With headphones readily available, I can assign videos of countless different difficulty levels to my students. We have students from the Congo, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and so much more. Every single student comes into my classroom at a different level of math.
To accommodate their diversity, I must also diversify the content. We need headphones to allow my students to access educational videos or recorded lessons so that they can watch, pause, and rewind. Oftentimes, my students find it difficult to keep up with the pace of the class, but having the ability to provide them with another source of content consumption (at their own pace) would be a game changer!
