Our students help build the sets by using 2x4s and luan to construct walls, add windows, and install doors. These tools will teach more students how to handily repair, replace, and maintain our set for the six weeks that it is on the school stage.
We do have a parent (or several parents) help us with the initial set build; however, once that is over, our students swarm the set to design, spackle, paint, and wallpaper. The walls they build are 10 feet high and 18 feet long. We even take smaller sets on tour to competition with us! We love building!
