Students who love to read do better in all other aspects of their education. Having a better comprehension will help students in all areas of learning! Students are able to soak in the information from Spelling, Science, Social Studies and of course their Reading curriculum! By having a comfortable reading nook students will have a place to retreat to and be comfortable while reading instead of being stuck at their desk. Students who feel comfortable while their reading will read more and retain more information about what they have read! My classroom currently has three depleted bean bags and two small scoop chairs. They students LOVE it when they are able to move around the room and often ask to "read around the room."

About my class
