My students will benefit from the materials, the highlighters will help by learning to look at the text in the books, increasing focus and directionality. The elastic band will help student by keeping fidgety legs in action will help them to focus on the task ahead.
Because I teach to read students using their native language I need books in Spanish. There are not many authentic emerging Spanish books in the USA, by providing new and interesting books in their own language my students will be able to use their oral language to practice to read in their home language.
