The books will provide a variety of ways to see history come to life. They will learn how North Carolina has evolved. The books also provide an opportunity for the students to enjoy more nonfiction books. The books allow history comes to life rather than just reading from a textbook. As a teacher we want to many different texts for our students to read. My project provides different texts regarding North Carolina History and the American Revolutionary War. History comes to life when you see it through a different perspective. By providing different books for the students to enrich their lives by seeing that history does not always come from a textbook.
